Inanna Zigurrat
This is the remains of the zigurrat of Inanna, in Uruk (a city in Sumeria), from the time of the ‘protector deities’ mentioned in ‘A Progression of Ideas‘ post. Inanna was the goddess of war, love, and power to them. The picture is from Carmen Asensio’s website: http://www.ezida.com/phuruk.htm.
